I'm a collaborative director with a focus on creative movement, engaging with collaborators to create nuanced theatre. I prioritize progress over perfection, emphasizing the process rather than the final product. Encouraging ensemble collaboration and creative movement, I believe in its transformative impact on performance. Whether working on traditional or devised theatre, I start with analysis, ask open-ended questions, and value the rehearsal journey. Early incorporation of designers aims to establish a common language and create a safe community through daily warmups. Interested in highly theatrical and intimate projects, I build bold experiences, believing in increasing the vitality of the art form nationally and locally. I strive to create theatre driven by inquiry, blending provocative content with experimental forms, and involve collaborators in all aspects of production. These goals inform my scholarship and teaching.
